About me

Hi, I’m Rob Ling, a UK-based illustrator and motion designer.

I work mainly in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro, creating playful, textured artwork using digital watercolour and collage. My style is loose, expressive, and a little bit wonky like a child’s drawing… but only if that child had a beard and a mortgage…

I’ve created work for The Guardian, Coast and Canines, Shore, SkyScanner, Rev Rooms, FuturLab, ATG Theatres and Chichester Harbour Conservancy. My most recent short film - Sausage Poem - featuring BAFTA-nominated actor and comedian Tim Key, has been screened at film festivals around the world.

I bring warmth, character, and a handmade feel to every project. If something makes me smile or laugh, I generally go with it.
